November, 2007 – Mitel®, a global leader in IP communications solutions for small to medium size businesses, today announced that Kuwait’s Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) is to deploy Mitel’s 3300 IP communications solution for around 500 all-IP users at the ministry’s HQ.

The all-IP deployment has see Mitel’s 3300 MXe platform installed at the Ministry’s HQ alongside Mitel’s IP Desktop devices and accompanying applications. The MXe solution is set up in a RAID configuration for maximum reliability and is equipped with dual processors for optimum handling of the high-volume of the communication.

The deployment also includes Mitel’s Your Assistant Softphone and Mitel’s Teleworker solution alongside the entire high-end IP device portfolio including the 5212, 5330 and 5340 IP phones, which in September 2007 was given the 2007 TMC Labs Innovation Award for ‘groundbreaking innovation and a significant contribution to the communications industry.’

The project is to be implemented by M/S Fahad Al Bahar Sons Trading Co. (FBS), a Mitel Gold Solution Provider / Partner in Kuwait.
